Greenville Natural Health Center Sees Increased Interest In Thermograms

GREENVILLE, SC - Greenville Natural Health Center is continuing to schedule appointments for thermograms as the popularity grows for thermography breast exams as a safe, pain-free alternative for detecting breast disease. Exams will be offered on June 3 (Thurs), July 15 (Thurs) and August 4 (Wed), at Greenville Natural Health Center, 1901 Laurens Road.

“Word is spreading quickly about thermography as an effective, safe method of breast screening,” said Dr. Marina Ponton, an acupuncture physician and owner of Greenville Natural Health Center. “As a staunch advocate of preventive health care, I believe thermography to be one of the best diagnostic tools for detecting breast cancer in its earliest stages.”

Breast thermography combines advanced digital technology with ultra-sensitive infrared camera imaging to detect patterns of heat produced from the increased circulation produced by abnormal metabolic activity in cancer cells. There is no radiation exposure and no compression of breast tissue during a thermogram. The entire breast can be imaged, and changes in breast tissue that accompany the smallest of tumors can be detected. Thermography also differentiates between fibrocystic breast disease and tumors.
