Renewable Water Resources Presents Winners of the 10th Annual Freshwater Freddie Golf Tournament and United Way Fundraiser

Greenville, SC (May 28, 2010) – Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) recently hosted its 10th annual Freshwater Freddie Golf Tournament at the Southern Oaks Golf Course. There were 29 teams of 116 participants that competed in this tournament to raise $4,287 for United Way.

The first place team, which included Bill Rabon, Mike Nelson and Charlie Campbell, of Technical Maintenance Associates, were presented with the Freshwater Freddie Tournament Plaque. The second place team included Buster Nix, Andy Guidici, and Bobby Sanders.

The Freshwater Freddie Golf Tournament is named after ReWa’s educational mascot, who was introduced to Greenville in 2001 during the “Name That Frog” contest among area elementary schools. Freddie was inspired by a first grade class from Hollis Academy, to help ReWa educate the community on the importance of protecting Greenville’s freshwater resources.
