Christopher Dorsel elected to the SC Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics Alumni Association Board

Charleston, S.C., (June 8, 2010) — Turner Padget is pleased to announce that Christopher T. Dorsel, an associate in our Charleston office, has been elected to the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics Alumni Association Board. His term will begin on July 1, 2010 and will last three years. Chris practices in the areas of civil litigation, specializing in both business litigation and insurance defense. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2000 and received his Juris Doctor in 2004 from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

The Governor’s School is a public, residential high school for juniors and seniors located in Hartsville, South Carolina and admission is by application only. The Governor’s School has been open to only 128 students since its founding in 1988, but is currently working on expanding the student body to 300 students. In 2009, Newsweek ranked the Governor’s School as one of the top “public elite” high schools in the country.
