2010 TECHNOLOGY AWARDS
The Technology Awards Program is the Upstate’s premier awards program focused exclusively on promoting technological innovation and celebrating technological excellence. InnoVision provides an opportunity for high visibility and exposure for your organization amid the Upstate business community.

Winners in each award category will be announced at the 12th Annual InnoVision Technology Awards Dinner on November 17, 2010, at the Carolina First Center in Greenville, SC. Each finalist will be featured in a video at the InnoVision Technology Awards Dinner. Each finalist will also be featured at a Finalist Reception to be held in September and will have the opportunity to host a technology forum in 2010.

AWARD CATEGORIES

TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT – Recognizes a company or organization for the development of a new or improved technology-based product, process, or service that may be utilized for internal purposes or commercial use.

TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION – Recognizes a company or organization for the innovative application of an existing technology for internal purposes or commercial use.

SMALL ENTERPRISE – Recognizes a small business entity, defined as an organization with fewer than 50 full-time employees or less than $20 million in revenue, for the innovative application or development of a technology-based product, process or service.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY – Recognizes an organization for developing and/or applying innovative technology to provide products or processes that support environmental stewardship. Technologies should promote the protection of earth’s natural resources including: renewable energy, renewable materials, reduced energy consumption or reduced waste.

COMMUNITY SERVICE – Recognizes an organization for establishing and/or supporting innovative, technology-based projects and programs that improve the quality of life for an Upstate community. Contribution may be made in time or in resources and must support one or more Upstate communities.

INNOVATION IN EDUCATION – Recognizes a company or organization for the application or development of innovative, technology-based projects and programs that impact education in the Upstate community.

DR. CHARLES TOWNES INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT – Honors an individual who exhibits a commitment to the advancement of technology and the Upstate community through his/her technology-oriented contributions. Such contributions may be business, civic and/or educational in nature and must benefit the Upstate.
