Julie Moose to Serve as Co-Chair on Professional Liability Defense Federation

COLUMBIA, S.C. (June 16, 2010) — Julie J. Moose, shareholder in Turner Padget’s Florence office, has been chosen to co-chair the Accounting Committee of the Professional Liability Defense Federation. Ms. Moose will write articles for the quarterly newsletter, present or assist with presentations, and lead discussions at the yearly meeting. Julie began her legal career after practicing as a certified public accountant and joined Turner Padget in 1998. She spends the majority of her practice handling accounting, financial, and business matters in both litigation and non-litigation contexts, and she practices in the areas of accountant liability, corporate law, shareholder disputes, securities litigation, business, and commercial litigation.

The Professional Liability Defense Federation is a not-for-profit organization designed to bring together attorneys, claims professionals, and risk management specialists to share expertise and information helpful to the successful defense of professional liability claims. The Accounting Claims Committee focuses on the professional liability of accountants, bringing together experienced practitioners involved in accounting malpractice defense, professional accountant liability claims administration, and errors and omissions insurance to improve the defense, cost climate, and outcomes of professional accountant liability claims.
