Terra Raises More Than $2,800 for Gulf Fishermen

COLUMBIA (June 18, 2010) — Thanks to enthusiastic public support, Terra raised more than $2,800 with its Cocktails for a Cause and Gulf-themed prix fixe menu from June 15-17. The funds will benefit Gulf Aid, a nonprofit established in response to the Gulf Coast oil spill.

“We were extremely pleased with the turnout from the benefit, and if the boudin balls were any indication, Midlands residents were hungry to give back,” says Chef Mike Davis. “It’s inspiring to see a community come together to support such a great cause.”

Even though Terra has returned to its seasonal menu, patrons can still make a donation to the cause through June 25, 2010. “We encourage those who couldn’t those join us for the benefit to dine with us and help us round out our efforts,” says Davis.
