A proper Program Management Office is essential to good project management. This presentation will discuss the creation and management of the Program Management Office (PMO).
Jennie Fowler (MPM, Acumen IT) will discuss what true project management is as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Topics will include: what a project manager does, different types of project management, how to align project management within your organization and begin a Project Management Office, various project management tools, and a brief overview of PM Certifications.
Chris Dickson (The Kidder Group) Computers and software don’t manage projects – people do! Chris will discuss the people side of the equation. Specifically, what are the key attributes of a competent project leader? How do I begin my search? How do I know I have the right person? How do I ensure their success?
