Greenville Drive Goes Pink on August 4

Pink uniforms, a brand new music video featuring local personalities and information about the area’s 16th annual Komen SC Mountains to Midlands Race for the Cure will all be on tap at Fluor Field on Wednesday, August 4. Officially designated as “Komen Night,” a portion of every ticket sold will be donated to the SC Mountains to Midlands Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, helping to fight breast cancer locally.

The Greenville Drive will play the Lakewood BlueClaws at 7 p.m. Players will wear pink uniforms, and the public will have the opportunity to sign up for the upcoming Race for the Cure, which will be held at Fluor Field on September 25. Additionally, Komen SC Mountains to Midlands will debut the “Flash Mob for the Cure” video at the game, which features familiar local faces dancing to a choreographed routine to the song “My Girl.”

“We are excited to have a great community partner like the Greenville Drive to help us promote breast cancer awareness and research through events such as Komen Night,” said Krista Bannister, Executive Director of the Affiliate and breast cancer survivor. “It’s our hope that both baseball fans and those touched by this disease will come out August 4 to support the cause.”

Tickets can be purchased via the Greenville Drive website at www.greenvilledrive.com (Promo Code KOMEN) or by calling the Greenville Drive box office at (864) 240-4528.

Without a cure, 1 in 8 women in the United States will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer. For race registration information, please visit www.KomenSCMM.org.
