Spartanburg-Based Waldrop, Inc. Hires Gerald Abele as Director of Sales for Waldrop Solar Solutions

Spartanburg, SC — Spartanburg-based Waldrop Inc., an established full-service mechanical contracting firm, announces Gerald Abele has joined the company as Director of Sales for Waldrop Solar Solutions. This recently established division focuses on design and installation of hot water and HVAC systems powered by solar energy. Abele comes to Waldrop from one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of solar collectors and related solar equipment. Abele will be based at Waldrop’s headquarters facility in Spartanburg.
Waldrop Solar Solutions supports Waldrop’s two existing divisions — Waldrop Heating & Air Conditioning, which serves the residential market; and Waldrop Mechanical Services which focuses on the commercial, institutional, industrial and healthcare sectors. Like the firm’s other divisions, Waldrop Solar Solutions operates throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina.
Waldrop is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. In addition to its Spartanburg headquarters, Waldrop has an office in Greenville.
