HillSouth IT Solutions Announces 3 New Hires and Expansion

HillSouth announces today that it has filled four new positions at the technology consulting firm based in Florence. “With our growth coming from all over this state and especially with small and mid-size customers - HillSouth is expanding the responsibilities of an existing employee while adding three more talented associates to deliver on our promise to become a world-class technology solutions practice” said Robby Hill – CEO of HillSouth

Ted Harding, previously with Coldwell Banker McMillan Tiller, has joined HillSouth as a Solutions Strategist. Ted brings with him experience from a variety of industries that he will apply in his job working with HillSouth’s clients to design the best technology solutions for their needs. Mr. Harding has lived in the Florence, South Carolina area for 23 years and serves on the Board of the Pee Dee Realtor Association and the Florence Downtown Design Committee and is an active member of Young Professionals of Florence.

Brad Holt, previously with Misys/Allscripts, has joined HillSouth as Vice-President of Healthcare Solutions. In this new role Mr. Holt will manage the crucial delivery of technology services and consulting to HillSouth’s clients with a key focus area in growing its healthcare solutions portfolio. Brad brings to HillSouth over 14 years of information technology experience, including 10 years in healthcare IT. Executive VP Andy Patel stated “Everyone at HillSouth joins me in welcoming Brad Holt to our growing team and will look forward to utilizing his HIT experience to complement our work in the healthcare industry over the coming years.”

Joel Mercado, formerly with FN Manufacturing, has joined HillSouth as Service Manager. Joel holds a Telecom Systems Management degree from Midlands Technical College and a CCNA. Mr. Mercado has worked in the IT industry for over a decade and has extensive experience in advanced telecommunications technologies that are IP and non IP based. Joel takes over the responsibilities of the day to day management of all HillSouth engineers, from Andy Patel, who has been promoted to CTO.

Andy Patel, previously Executive VP of Business Solutions at HillSouth, has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer. In Andy’s new role at the company he will be overseeing all of HillSouth’s technology offerings. This is accomplished by setting the framework and strategies that enable the advanced technological solutions HillSouth designs to work together for the benefit of all involved. Mr. Patel is also charged with high level contractual CIO services for key clients and will continue to provide ongoing guidance to those organization’s management teams about their overall IT goals and strategy. He holds advanced certifications from EMC, Cisco, and VMWare which will further assist HillSouth in leveraging some of the industry’s best vendors to deliver world-class ideas that solve the most pressing technology challenges.
