MTU Detroit Diesel Appoints Network Controls and Electric for Technology Installation

MTU DETROIT DIESEL APPOINTS NETWORK CONTROLS
AND ELECTRIC FOR TECHNOLOGY INSTALLATION

(Columbia, SC), September 8, 2010 – MTU Detroit Diesel has selected Network Controls and Electric to provide fiber cabling for the company’s new Graniteville, SC plant. “This project is a significant boost to the area’s economic development and we value the opportunity to be a part of the project,” said Brad Cunningham, CEO of Network Controls and Electric.

The project, which includes the installation of single mode and multimode fiber throughout the plant was awarded through the project’s mechanical contractor, Southern Industrial Contractors. MTU Detroit Diesel is slated to create 250 new jobs.

The cable will extend throughout the plant to five network cabinets. The project includes the installation of 3,000 square feet of outside plant fiber.
