Immedion Promotes One and Hires Two for Columbia Data Center

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Sept 21, 2010) Immedion, LLC, South Carolina’s first dedicated data center and managed services provider has promoted Matthew Day and has hired two new additional staff for their Columbia office, Allen Hall and Melissa Nichols. Day will be leaving the Greenville office to become the Director of Operations and Engineering for the brand new Columbia data center. Joining him in Columbia will be Allen Hall as the new Managed Services Engineer and Melissa Nichols as the Office Manager.

Matt Day has been a Senior Systems Engineer with Immedion’s Greenville office since 2008. Before joining Immedion, Day was a network engineer with ScanSource, Inc. for 3 years. “Matt’s technical background is sound and his customer service skills are excellent. We couldn’t be happier to have him join the Columbia office” states Jim Stritzinger, Immedion’s General Manager in Columbia. “We’ve completed an extensive regional search for someone with exceptional technical and customer service skills. In the end, Matt was the obvious choice.” With the Greenville office having such a strong technical team, Immedion’s CEO Frank Mobley states “bringing Matt to Columbia is a strategic way of ensuring cohesion between our Greenville and Columbia offices. Matt knows how we do business and he will continue that culture as he leads operations and trains staff in our Columbia facility.”

Joining Day on the technical operations team in Columbia is Allen Hall. Hall has been a PC/LAN Technician and Network Technician with BP Barber for the past five years. He is highly experienced and will be a valued addition to the Immedion team.

Melissa Nichols has been hired to manage Immedion’s Columbia office. Nichols has over five years of professional experience. Most recently she served as the Membership Director for the Summit Club of Columbia. Nichols will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations of the Columbia office.
