Secure SAS-70 Type II Data Centers Provide High Availability and Security

(GTS), a leading IT training provider and operator of The Ultimate Bootcamp®, has selected Hosted Solutions to provide highly secure colocation service.

As part of the deal, GTS has colocated their infrastructure in one of Hosted Solutions’ secure SAS-70 Type II data centers. Hosted Solutions’ data centers are built to a 2N power distribution design standard, which features dedicated redundant elements from top to bottom, including generators, utility feeds, main electrical switchboards, and more.

The 2N power distribution design provides two separate and independent sources of power (A and B) to the datacenter. With no interconnections or interdependencies, there are no single points of failure that could impact both sources. This provides a much higher level of redundancy and reliability of power within the datacenter. At any time, one side can be taken down for maintenance, testing, or due to an unexpected failure while full facility load remains supported by the other side.
