Windsor/Aughtry’s Main@Broad Development now at 62-percent occupancy
Greenville, SC – November 4, 2010 – Windsor/Aughtry Company announced today that Carolina Holdings, Phoneworx and Godsey & Gibb Associates have signed long-term leases in the new Main@Broad development in downtown Greenville. These will be the first Upstate offices for both Phoneworx and Godsey & Gibb. With these new leases, Main@Broad will be at 62 percent capacity just five months after its completion.
Carolina Holdings, Inc., a real estate development, asset management and brokerage firm, will occupy 3,705 square-feet of office space on the fourth floor of the development. Phoneworx, a telecommunications company, will occupy 2,612 square-feet of space on the development’s third floor. Godsey & Gibb Associates, an investment management firm headquartered in Richmond, VA, will occupy 1,162 square-feet of office space on the third floor of the development.
As with all Main@Broad tenants, Carolina Holdings, Phoneworx and Godsey & Gibb will have access to all of the building’s amenities, including a third floor conference room, which is fully equipped with a state-of-the-art audio visual package of flat screen televisions, surround sound stereo, and a high definition, worldwide video conferencing system. The 1,000 square-foot conference room can seat up to 75 guests for meetings, luncheons or special events. Just off the conference room is a 1,000 square-foot porch overlooking Greenville’s bustling Main Street.
Charles Reyner, Broker In-Charge with Windsor/Aughtry, said the Main@Broad Development is leasing up quickly. “With these three commitments, Main@Broad has reached 62 percent capacity after having only been open five months,” Reyner said. “From investments to technology to restaurant management, we have a diverse tenant population that we believe will create a vibrant energy in line with the development’s amenities and location. There is still plenty of square-footage available for tenants and we welcome the opportunity to show potential tenants the benefits of Main@Broad occupancy.”
Godsey & Gibb says they are excited about the addition of a downtown Greenville office. “Godsey & Gibb Associates sees Greenville as more than an address – it is a destination to serve our clients, business professionals, prospective clients, and the arts,” said Dan Savage, a partner at Godsey & Gibb. “We have had the fortune of serving investors, families and business professionals in the Upstate for more than 23 years. We have now formalized our commitment to Greenville by an address: Main@Broad. Windsor/Aughtry and the Main@Broad development met all of our needs perfectly: location, access to parking and other downtown venues, and its support of the arts – beautifully displayed by the sculptures found on Main Street.”
Terry Stringer, Director of Business Development at Phoneworx, said his company liked the spirit and location of Main@Broad for their first Greenville location. “One of the things that attracted us to Main@Broad was its hip and cool downtown location, which we think parallels the character of Phoneworx,” Stringer said. “It’s also a Class A building, which allows Phoneworx to raise the bar by offering a demo showroom and training center.”
Carolina Holdings says the building itself was the main selling point for their firm’s relocation. “The first thing that caught our attention was the absolutely first-class manner in which the building has been designed and constructed,” said Michael D. McNicholas, President of Carolina Holdings. “Secondly, the location is so desirable, given its proximity to the riverfront, other downtown offices, the Peace Center, restaurants, and hotel accommodations. We look forward to being a part of this project and having our clients visit us in this beautiful new facility.”
