Waldrop Mechanical Services’ Bill Gruss Earns Prestigious Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Designation through AEE
Spartanburg, SC – Spartanburg-based Waldrop Mechanical Services, a full-service mechanical contracting firm, announces Bill Gruss has earned his Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). In his role as Commercial Service Manager for Waldrop, Gruss heads up the company’s Building Automation Division.
Gruss has nearly 25 years of experience in heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) and energy management controls. This includes 10 years of service in the U.S. Navy during which time he was assigned to a nuclear-powered submarine unit.
To qualify for CEM designation — the internationally accepted symbol of professional competence within the energy management field — candidates must meet strict educational and professional criteria, attend an AEE-sponsored CEM training seminar, and pass a rigorous 17-part exam administered by AEE.
Waldrop has offices in Spartanburg and Greenville. Founded in 1970, Waldrop is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2010.
