Mariner Adds Consultants in Response to Growth
Additions Will Serve Mariner’s Mid-sized and Large Corporate Clients
November 9, 2010 – Charlotte, NC – Mariner welcomes two new team members, Brad Boyd as Managing Consultant, and Javier Guillén as Consultant. Brad and Javier each have more than 10 years of experience developing solutions for mid-size and large corporations.
Brad has experience deploying multi-million dollar software development projects in the financial, public, state and manufacturing sectors. As a project manager, he uses Agile methodologies to deliver rapid, incremental benefits to customers.
Javier brings extensive experience implementing business intelligence solutions based on Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint. Focused on optimizing business operations, he has implemented business intelligence and data warehousing solutions for executive portfolio management, risk and trading analytics, research and collateral management.

About Brad Boyd
Brad is an Information Technology professional with over 14 years of experience directing, project managing, designing, consulting and deploying multi-million dollar software development projects and supporting infrastructure components within the financial, public, state and manufacturing sectors. As a Managing Consultant, he contributes strong program and project management, business-focus and resource management capabilities and places an emphasis on agile yet robust development and deployment methodologies leveraged during professional services engagements. In addition, Brad is experienced in successfully incorporating cost effective and offshore components for development and operational areas of a project or program.
Brad’s experience, prior to joining Mariner, includes positions as Director of Solutions for Public and State Sectors and Director of Software Engineering for Public and Financial Sectors at Unisys as well as North American IT Development Director at Solectron Technology.
About Javier Guillén
Javier has been developing software for 10 years, specializing on financial business intelligence. He was Business Intelligence Architect for a leading hedge fund in South Florida, where he created applications to optimize business operations and implemented BI/DW initiatives for executive portfolio management, risk and trading analytics, research and collateral management using the entire Microsoft BI stack. He has a strong interest in programmatic approaches to Microsoft BI solutions and their extensibility in C#. At Mariner, he is currently participating in a project to streamline the analytical framework for a healthcare consulting company.
Javier holds an MBA from Schiller International University and a BS in Psychology from Universidad Javeriana (Bogota, Colombia)
