Better Business Bureau Announces 2010 Student of Integrity Winners

GREENVILLE, SC – The Education Foundation of the Better Business Bureau® Upstate has awarded six Student of Integrity Awards to rising high school seniors in the Upstate who personify high character through leadership, community service, personal integrity and academic history. Students were recognized during the Better Business Bureau annual meeting held November 4 at the Hyatt Regency Greenville, and each will receive a $1,000 scholarship to attend an accredited college or university.

Winners of the 2010 Student of Integrity Awards are: Madison McClure Arms, Dorman High School; Christopher Ronald Funk, Spartanburg High School; Mary Kathryn McClintock, St. Joseph’s Catholic School; Emily Michelle Meeks, Belton Honea Path High School; Kaitlyn Elizabeth Kowalski, T.L Hanna High School; and Kevin Michael Quarles, Walhalla High School. Kevin also received the Ellis L. Darby Memorial Scholarship given by GBS Lumber.

The annual BBB Student of Integrity Awards marked its fourth year with students from high schools in the 10-county Upstate area submitting applications. The awards program is presented by the Education Foundation of the Better Business Bureau, which serves the 10 counties in the Upstate region of South Carolina with a mission to promote, develop and encourage an ethical marketplace.
