Guest Speaker: Westy Bowen, VP Integrated Supply Chain, Proterra, LLC

Westy has more than 18 years progressive experience in lean manufacturing, supply chain, and continuous improvement/end to end quality leadership focused on Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement processes.

Prior to joining Proterra, Mr. Bowen worked with E-Z-GO, a leading manufacturer of golf cars and utility vehicles, where he led the company to be the first-ever recipient of the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence in the enterprise level and the winner of the Industry Week's Best Plant competition. He also played an integral role in leading E-Z-GO's recent launch of its next generation golf car - the RXV including implementing a state of the art Brownfield assembly process. Mr. Bowen has held additional leadership roles in the areas of Quality, Six Sigma, Lean, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain with Shaw Industries, GE, NCR, and Textron. He earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Operations Management and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Financial Management from Clemson University.
