Environmental/Hazardous Waste Generator Training Conference
The South Carolina Manufacturing Alliance (SCMA) will hold its second annual environmental conference on February 1-2, 2011 at the Marriott hotel in Spartanburg S.C. The conference is specifically designed to provide environmental professionals with “must have” environmental compliance information and is therefore a conference you will not want to miss.
The first day of the conference is focused on water and air compliance topics. The first half of this day will be presentations by the SCDHEC Water Bureau Chief and staff on pertinent water compliance topics and the second half of the day will be presentations by the SCDHEC Air Bureau Chief and staff on pertinent air compliance topics. Day 1 topics include: How SCDHEC calculates NPDES permit limits, Surface water withdrawal regulations, Water regulations enforcement, Ozone standards and non-attainment, Boiler MACT rules, and Air regulations enforcement.
The second day of the conference will be a full day of RCRA hazardous waste generator training conducted by the SCDHEC Land &Waste Bureau staff. The SCDHEC Land &Waste Bureau Chief is also scheduled to speak. This training will be a fantastic opportunity for those individuals responsible for overseeing all, or managing one or more aspects, of their facility hazardous waste management program. Time is built into each of these sessions to allow you to ask questions of the SCDHEC presenters.
The feedback from the approximate 90 participants at last year’s conference was an overall 4.5 out of 5 rating. We want to build on that and make next year’s conference even better. The conference is priced at $179 for SCMA members and $229 for non-SCMA members for the two days. This price includes a manual with all speaker presentations and a training certificate.
We look forward to seeing you in Spartanburg! Please contact Jessica Watts at 803-799-9695 or watts@myscma.com if you have any questions about the conference.
