Jennifer Parker Promoted At USC Upstate

Dr. Jennifer Parker has been promoted from assistant dean to associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Carolina Upstate. Dr. Parker provides leadership to all aspects of the College including new program initiatives, community partnerships, and faculty and student development.

Dr. Parker is also an associate professor of psychology and director of the Center for Child Advocacy Studies at the University. Parker earned her Ph.D. from Virginia Tech and has been at USC Upstate since 2001. She is involved in a number of community initiatives including the Spartanburg Childhood Obesity Taskforce, Spartanburg Youth Coalition, Workforce Investment Board’s Youth Council and she is the project director of the Youth Leadership Institute.
