Britain Open for Business: The UK as a Springboard to the World - March 29

"Britain Open for Business: The UK as a Springboard to the World" will be held at the Hilton, Columbia on Tuesday 29 March, from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m.

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) in partnership with Salans, a leading international law firm based in London, is hosting “Britain Open for Business: The UK as a Springboard to the World”. This event is designed to provide an overview of conducting business in the UK and discussion around how recent reductions in the Mainstream Corporation Tax rate, the introduction of Entrepreneur’s Relief (in regards to Capital Gains tax), and changes to patent licensing have enhanced the competiveness of the UK as a place to grow and succeed in international business.

Targeting innovative US companies interested in expanding their business through international expansion, this event will highlight the key benefits of using the UK as a launch pad for global growth. The event will feature:
· Client Testimonials from Carolina-based Businesses Recently Established in the UK
· Discussion regarding acquisitions in the US versus the UK
· Opportunity to Network with UKTI Investment Specialists

The UK is forecast to have the strongest business environment of all major European economies for the period 2008 – 2012. We look forward to helping your company be a part of this environment!
