WiProwess and Zipit Wireless Debut Wireless Charging Battery Cover Solution For Zipit® Now™ Device

Wire-Free Charging Power- Integrated Solution

GREENVILLE, SC, (March 17, 2011) – From the TEDxGreenville conference, WiProwess and Zipit Wireless, will introduce a wireless charging battery door solution for the Zipit® Now™ messaging device. The Zipit Now messenger device is a handheld device that is part of the Zipit Enterprise Critical Messaging Solution™, a two way paging system recently introduced by Zipit and developed exclusively for Verizon Wireless.

The solution of a custom battery back door designed and built by WiProwess for the Zipit Now device, replaces the existing battery back door with seamless integration of a WildCharge conductive technology. The solution allows the Zipit Now device to interface with WildCharge conductive charging pads without any wires needed to charge the mobile messaging device.

The battery back door solution is a custom replacement cover with a conductive energy transfer circuit built into the cover. The WiProwess designed solution contains a uniquely designed slider arm on the side of the battery back door that enables and disables the charging circuitry of the back door solution. The unique design of the slider arm is a simple effective solution that allows for a manual on/off setting of the respective charging options. The slider arm in a non-connected conductive circuit position allows for traditional A/C outlet charging and powering via a micro-USB connection, such as the one provided on the Zipit Now device.
