New Web-Based Program From Local Company Brings Efficiencies in Benefit and Payroll Administration

CHARLESTON, S.C. – In an effort to minimize the complexity and cost of benefit administration, the David M. Gilston Insurance Agency has launched a new web portal that integrates payroll and benefits. This new concept, Doing Benefits Different, connects a business’ insurance information directly to its payroll, helping better track employee information and maintain compliance with new health reform laws.

The first insurance agency in South Carolina to offer this technology, the Gilston Agency is partnering with Netchex, a payroll, benefit, and human resources services firm. No other company provides a full-service offering where benefit administration and compliance can be managed through one relationship. The Gilston Agency is able to provide greater support to benefit administrators in areas such as reconciling employee benefit plans and bills; assistance with government-mandated reporting and notification requirements; and easily accessible reports.

The concept of Doing Benefits Different works for any size business and can tackle HR duties, such as administration for benefits, 401(k) and COBRA; tax filing; year-end W2 processing; time and attendance tracking; flexible pay options, as well as tracking employee interactions, such as performance reviews, job history and workers’ compensation management.
