ISO Poly Films Hires Bertelsman as Technical Manager

ISO Poly Films – a Sigma Plastics Group company and a leading multi-layer plastic film extruder – is pleased to announce it has hired David Bertelsman as Technical Manager. With more than 20 years of experience in the plastics industry, Bertelsman will facilitate process improvements, manage customer product develop projects, and manage product performance issues for ISO Poly Films.

Prior to joining ISO Poly Films, Bertelsman served in various managerial positions for Dow Chemical, Exopack and AEP, Inc. As a hands-on manager, he successfully led process improvement and optimization projects, product development projects, and cost reduction programs, and handled several product and marketing management responsibilities.

“David’s extensive experience in the plastics industry, impressive working knowledge of blend formulation and film structure development and his exceptional management style make him a real asset to the ISO Poly team,” said Jon McClure, President and COO of ISO Poly Films.

Bertelsman began his career as a Senior Development Engineer with Dow Chemical Co. and quickly advanced to Product Development Manager, Product Manager and Facility Manager of a multi-department manufacturing operation with 175 employees. He served as Material & Product Development Manager for AEP, Inc. where he improved financial performance of the business and closely worked with the development process to ensure projects met customer needs.

Founded in 1998 by Jon McClure, ISO Poly Films, Inc. is a custom extruder of specialty plastic films for high demand applications in the laminating, printing, coating and converting markets. ISO Poly has experienced significant growth during the past two years and is the flagship company of the Sigma Plastics Group’s multi-layer specialty films division.
