Milliken’s floor covering group announces new introductions

New design facility produces collections for commercial, hospitality markets

SPARTANBURG, S.C., March 25, 2011 – Milliken announces its newest carpet introductions: Southern Analog for the contract market and Nobedan, which is ideal for hospitality settings.

Southern Analog and Nobedan are the first collections to be produced by Milliken’s new design facility in Spartanburg, which provides access to the company’s innovation and research center to further collaboration, inspiration and idea-generation for the design team.

Southern Analog
New organic (Voltage and Pinhole) and geometric (Fish Eye and Double Exposure) patterns offer complimentary counterparts for Southern Analog’s original introduction (Panoramic and Viewfinder). These additions allow a designer to continue a concept throughout an environment expanding the product into areas that may not require vibrant tones or accent colors, for which the first Southern Analog introductions are known.

Inspired from nature – sun flares, ripples in still water and mirages – every installation is an opportunity to experience a rare degree of creative freedom.

Nobedan
Influenced by the gentle and meaningful gestures in a Japanese stroll garden, Nobedan features five patterns to offer a variety of scale and texture that enable spaces to be dramatic – yet serene – or bold and dynamic.

The Nobedan collection was created with the etage allowing a designer to build a custom, complex pattern, layer by layer. This proven Milliken technology offers a freedom of design appreciated in the hospitality industry. Available in small-, medium- and large-scale elements, Nobedan provides the ultimate flexibility in defining rugs, runners and open areas.
