“Having visited with SCRA last week, I was proud to hear of its accomplishments in regard to fulfilling its mission of advancing South Carolina’s Knowledge Economy,” stated Congressman Wilson. “SCRA’s commitment to our state is evidenced by its prosthetic composite work with our country’s men and women in uniform in addition to its work with the Traumatic Brain Injury program. I would especially like to thank SCRA and SC Launch for continuing to successfully support small businesses by promoting entrepreneurship in the District’s underserved areas. I am honored to receive the Knowledge Economist award, and I look forward assisting as more companies create jobs in South Carolina.”

“We are honored to present the Knowledge Economist award to Congressman Wilson and to recognize his leadership and efforts, which have contributed greatly to the state’s growing Knowledge Economy,” said SCRA CEO Bill Mahoney. “The areas that he represents range from economically strong to severely underserved, and we are pleased that SC Launch companies, such as Climax Global Energy, are creating jobs and contributing to South Carolina’s Knowledge Economy. We look forward to continued work with the Congressman, business leaders, entrepreneurs and our elected officials to build a better future for South Carolina.”
