Crawford Strategy Continues Growth, Launches New Website
GREENVILLE, S.C. – April 11, 2011 – Crawford Strategy experienced dramatic growth during its first year in business. The momentum of the Greenville-based strategic solutions company continues into year two with its recent unveiling of a new website and announcement of continued job creation.
“Our first year has been wonderful, and we are thankful for the support that our clients have given us,” said Marion Crawford, company president. “We have grown rapidly, expanding from what was predominantly an event planning firm, to one which has robust marketing, graphic design and creative content capabilities. Now, with a dozen team members, we look forward to our second year.”
The Crawford Strategy website, www.crawfordstrategy.com, has been recently upgraded. The dynamic, Joomla-powered site showcases the company’s range of marketing strategy services, recent client success stories and the people that make it happen. “Our website is perhaps the best tool for demonstrating what we can do for clients,” Crawford said.
Crawford Strategy recently added Richard Breen as Director of Media Relations. Breen is a veteran Upstate journalist who has written, broadcast and blogged on subjects ranging from economic development to high school football. He is a 1988 graduate of the University of South Carolina who has earned awards for newspaper reporting, layout and ad copywriting. “We are very pleased to add Richard to our team. He brings a depth of experience and creative ability that will better enable us to meet the expanding requirements of our clients,” Crawford said.
Crawford Strategy also added Miller Howard as a Senior Account Executive. Howard has worked in the Upstate as a public relations, marketing and advertising professional since 2005 and has served with organizations that range from national banks to local non-profits. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of South Carolina. “Miller’s experience in this industry and particularly in this market will be a tremendous asset to our company and to our clients. We are very pleased to have her on board,” Crawford said.
The hiring caps a period in which Crawford Strategy has added eight staffers, bringing total employment to 12. That is just one of several impressive first-year numbers racked up by the firm. Crawford Strategy created and distributed 204 news releases, designed 743 marketing pieces and helped raise more than $335,000 in donations for various entities.
Sandy Linning, a principal in Crawford Strategy and a longtime fixture in the Upstate public relations profession, is excited about what the future holds for the firm.
“I have always enjoyed working in this profession and helping our clients communicate their message,” she said. “As we begin our second year, we are now in an even better position to assist clients across a broad spectrum through traditional public relations, social media and event management.”
