SBA, S.C. Chamber to Hold Small Business Expo on May 4

The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the SBA South Carolina District Office and the South Carolina Coalition for Small Business and Entrepreneurship will hold the 2011 Salute to Small Business Expo from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 4, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
The Expo will feature:
• Seminars on financing, marketing and contracting;
• Two panels on controlling health care costs with representatives from BlueCross BlueShield, Clark Benefits and First Carolina Risk Management Advisors;
• A panel on small business financing with representatives from BB&T, Business Development Corp., USDA-Rural Development and investment firm WRSequence, LLC;
• One-on-one matchmaking sessions with representatives from 28 government agencies and corporations, including Boeing, SCANA, Michelin and the Army Corps of Engineers.

The Expo will be followed by the Salute to Small Business Awards Luncheon honoring the SBA’s South Carolina small business award winners.
