WATERMARK ADVISORS WELCOMES THREE NEW PROFESSIONALS

Investment bank Watermark Advisors is pleased to announce the addition of the following new team members: Ashby Watts, Smyth McKissick and Austin Ashmore.

Ashby Watts has recently joined the firm as Managing Director. Ashby served most recently as Managing Director for Mirador Advisors in Charlotte, NC. His prior experiences include serving clients of Wachovia Securities, Inc. and Wachovia Bank, N.A., where he joined in 1988 and worked in a variety of capacities in the investment and corporate banking divisions. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2001, and has served in several roles including president and board member of the CFA North Carolina Society. His investment banking background includes M&A, asset-based lending, private placements, mezzanine capital
and private equity.

Smyth McKissick and Austin Ashmore have also joined the team as interns. A senior at the University of Georgia, Smyth is a native of Greenville, SC. He is currently pursuing double Bachelors of Arts degrees in Finance and Economics. He has served as Corresponding Secretary for the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity and previously interned at Lab 21 Inc., a Greenville area bio-molecular diagnostics laboratory. Austin, a native of Greer, SC, is a rising senior at the University of South Carolina. He is currently pursuing a triple major in International Business, Economics and Management as well as minors in Spanish and Religious Studies. He is an inaugural member of the Carolina Investment Association and an analyst in the industrial sector of the association’s Carolina Fund. Both Smyth and Austin will graduate in December.
