Call for Nominations for IT in Manufacturing Award - July 29

Columbia, SC – IT-oLogy is calling for nominations for the inaugural IT in Manufacturing Award, to be presented at the Silver Crescent Foundation’s 2011 Salute to Manufacturing Awards Luncheon to be held on September 22nd at the Carolina First Center in Greenville.

The IT in Manufacturing Award is designed to recognize exemplary companies that reflect world-class standards in information technology innovation. To be eligible for nomination, a company must have been in operation in South Carolina for at least three years prior to June 1, 2011. Anyone may nominate a South Carolina manufacturer meeting this requirement, including company employees, community leaders, economic developers, Chamber of Commerce officials, customers, suppliers, friends and partners.

“Because information technology is an enabler of advancement in every industry, especially manufacturing, IT-oLogy felt that including this in the Silver Crescent Foundation’s awards would reinforce the importance of IT to manufacturing companies,” Lonnie Emard, Executive Director, said.

IT in Manufacturing Award applications are available online at www.IT-oLogy.org or can be requested by contacting Powers Strickland. Applications are due on or before July 29, 2011 at 5 p.m. If you have questions, you may contact Powers Strickland at powers.strickland@it-ology.org or at 803.354.5735.
