CREATEATHON OFFERS PRO BONO MARKETING SERVICES TO NONPROFITS

COLUMBIA, SC — Riggs Partners invites South Carolina nonprofit organizations to submit applications for its annual CreateAthon® event to be held September 15-16, 2011. CreateAthon is a 24-hour blitz during which Riggs Partners provides creative marketing services to nonprofit organizations on a pro bono basis. This year marks the 14th consecutive year that Riggs Partners has held this community service event.

Since the inception of CreateAthon, Riggs Partners has donated creative marketing services to 143 non-profit organizations in South Carolina, producing a total of 412 projects. Fee value of the work produced has been estimated at $3.9 million, all provided at little to no cost to nonprofits. Additionally, Riggs Partners has helped to secure donated production and media services from area printers, photographers, illustrators, broadcast production companies, web programmers and media outlets.

The firm is equally confident its national CreateAthon network will positively impact nonprofits across the country. Since the program’s expansion from a single market to a national effort in 2002, 80 agencies in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico have held CreateAthon events in their respective markets. The effort has benefited over 1,175 nonprofit organizations with 2,800 projects valued at $11.5 million.

Riggs Partners will accept CreateAthon applications from nonprofits in the Midlands and Upstate until July 15, 2011. Trio Solutions, a CreateAthon partner agency in Mount Pleasant, will accept applications from nonprofits in the Lowcountry and Pee Dee areas of South Carolina.
