Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport Takes Flight
with Unified Communications from CNP and ShoreTel
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, June 24, 2011 — Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is pleased to announce it has completed the implementation of their new Unified Communication project. GSP contracted top ShoreTel partner CNP Technologies to provide the ShoreTel IP-based PBX to connect the buildings and users across the airport campus.
GSP conducted a comprehensive evaluation before selecting CNP and ShoreTel to replace their 15 year old Avaya phone system. The ShoreTel solution provides a unified communications solution that gives the airport the required flexibility and simplified management. At the end of the search process, CNP Technologies and ShoreTel came out as the clear leaders with the best functionality and feature set for GSP, along with the lowest total cost of ownership.
GSP was struggling with the increasing support and maintenance costs of their antiquated Avaya system. CNP and ShoreTel provided GSP with a solution that is easy-to-manage and provides a feature-rich system that will scale as necessary.
ShoreTel provides the airport a unified communications solution that fully integrates all communications—voice, data, mobile, video and messaging— independent of device or location. ShoreTel's distributed architecture eliminates the traditional costs, complexity and reliability issues typically associated with older phone systems and other IP-based telephony solutions.
CNP implemented the GSP project in two phases. The total scope of the project included seven buildings and over 120 users on the GSP campus. Phase 1 went live on January 14, 2011.
