Scavone Joins SCTAC as Public Relations Representative
Greenville, S.C. (June 29, 2011) — Christina Scavone, a senior in communication studies at Clemson University, joins SCTAC as public relations representative. Scavone, former corporate communications intern at BMW Manufacturing Co., is responsible for internal and external communications, social media initiatives and media relations.
“SCTAC is excited to have Christina join our team,” says president and CEO Jody Bryson. “The internship program is fundamental for both the intern and SCTAC as students are able to enhance our organization with a unique and fresh perspective while gaining real-world experience to assist in their future career endeavors.”
Scavone, who worked full-time as corporate communications intern at BMW Manufacturing Co., has ample skills in internal, community and media relations and hopes to use her experiences to promote SCTAC, its tenants and the Upstate through her position. Scavone is also heavily involved at Clemson University in the Public Relations Student Society of America, her sorority and as writing and editing intern for Clemson’s Division of Student Affairs Publications Office.
“Christina worked in the corporate communications department as an intern last year so we are excited that she will have an opportunity to use that experience and her skills as the new public relations representative at SCTAC,” says BMW Manufacturing’s Bunny Richardson. “Internships are an essential tool for students to learn about their chosen careers and practice their skills. This additional opportunity will allow Christina to take her experiences to the next level.”
Scavone will be reaching out to the Greenville area early this fall in efforts to showcase the advantages the upstate has to industry, technological and aviation growth. If you have questions about this position or the immediate goals of SCTAC, contact Christina at Christina.Scavone@sc-tac.com.
