Askew Named to Rolling Green Village Board
Curtis Askew recently was named to the board of trustees for Rolling Green Village. Rolling Green Village is a continuing care retirement community located in Greenville, S.C., that has provided services to seniors for the past 25 years. The community consists of independent patio homes, apartment homes, assisted living apartments, a memory care unit, and skilled nursing care.
Askew, a Greer resident, will serve a four-year term on the board. Among other duties as a board member, Askew will assist with the strategic planning at Rolling Green Village to ensure that the organization continues to provide quality housing and services to the residents living in the community.
Askew is the president and principal consultant of DataNgine Consulting, LLC, a company he started two years ago that specializes in data analysis, program evaluation and strategic planning. For the past four years, Askew has been chair or co-chair of the Data Network Committee of Greenville’s Safe Communities Coalition. He also serves on the board of Allen Temple’s Community Economic Development Corp.
Askew is a graduate of Northwestern University, having earned a bachelor’s in Linguistics and a concentration in artificial intelligence modeling. A decorated officer in the U.S. Air Force who served as a nuclear missile launch control officer, Askew retired at the rank of captain. He returned to Northwestern and currently is working on his doctoral dissertation in the Department of Sociology.
