CGD Architect, Scott Powell, Selected to Serve SGN
Scott Powell, an Architect and Partner with Craig Gaulden Davis, has been selected to serve in a leadership position on State Government Network (SGN), a national committee of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The SGN was established in 1991 to give state components resources and materials necessary to advocate effectively on the state government level. The Network is comprised of component presidents, legislative affairs chairs, contract lobbyists and members who have an interest in government advocacy. Mr. Powell was selected based on his experience in school design, his wisdom that successful schools should be the center of the community and prototypical designs do not meet the standards of successful schools.
Craig Gaulden Davis is a 54 year old Greenville architectural and interior design firm that has received recognition for performing arts, higher education, civic, library and ministry projects as well as K12 projects. Notable work in the area includes the Greenville County Museum of Art and Hughes Main Library, Carolina High School, Legacy Charter School, A.J. Whittenberg Elementary School of Engineering and the Salvation Army’s Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center.
