Leadership Seminar - Dr. Buddy Thompson "Developing a Lakeside Community in Upstate SC" - August 26
Dr. Buddy Thompson, is co-founder of The Reserve at Lake Keowee, a 4,000 acre lakefront community. He is also a medical doctor specializing in ophthalmology and founder of Easley Eye Associates in 1981.
Dr. Thompson will describe how he and his many partners developed a premier lakeside golf community. Find out how their plan to purchase 100 acres for a small lake enclave in 1999, grew into a multi-million dollar venture encompassing nearly 4,000 acres and 30 miles of shoreline on Lake Keowee. He will explain how they raised capital with investors on a scale way beyond the 100 lakeside acres.
Dr. Thompson earned a BS in Chemical Engineering with high honors in 1969 from Clemson University. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and became a Doctor of Medicine in January of 1978, receiving the Lange Award as the 2nd Honor Graduate.
