Addison Homes to Present Seminars at Home and Garden Show

GREENVILLE, S.C., SEPTEMBER 23, 2011 — Addison Homes is a featured exhibitor in the upcoming Fall Southern Home & Garden Show, which runs Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the TD Convention Center in Greenville.

Presented by the Home Builders Association of Greenville, the Fall Southern Home & Garden Show includes exhibits, seminars, promotions and celebrity appearances. It is designed for consumers who are planning fall fix-ups, renovations, outdoor living additions and landscaping projects, as well as those searching for seasonal decor for the holidays.

In addition to exhibiting at Booth #351, Addison Homes President Todd Usher will present “Why Sustainable Makes Sense—and Cents,” an educational seminar about how cost-effective it can be to build and/or renovate toward maximum energy efficiency. Investing in “green” products and building processes yields long-term value, particularly in terms of dollars saved month after month on utility bills. Usher’s consumer-friendly presentations are Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 5pm, and Sunday at 3pm.

Addison Homes—a company that builds 100% of its homes to rigorous Energy Star® and EarthCraft House™ standards—will have staff available all weekend long to discuss energy-efficient home building and renovation. They’ll also demonstrate infrared camera technology, a device that’s able to identify air leaks, moisture, insulation issues and other trouble spots affecting not only a home’s energy efficiency but also the homeowner’s health.

Fall Southern Home & Garden Show hours are Friday, 10am-8pm; Saturday, 10am-8pm; and Sunday, 1-6pm. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and free for children under 12. Bring a canned good to benefit Harvest Hope Food Bank and receive $1 off admission. Parking is free.
