Santuc Precision to become ISO 9001 Certified

Santuc Precision, a Union County stamping and machining company, received a $41,600 grant from the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce for the training in Quality Management System ISO 9001 and the Aviation and Military Quality Management System AS 9100C. The grant also includes a Kaizen Workplace Organization training event (5s System) and training in Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED). ISO 9001:2008 is the standard that provides a set of standardized requirements for quality management systems. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the world’s largest developer and publisher of International Standards, recognized in 162 countries.

Industry consultants are currently working with Santuc to complete the training and certification by April 2012. Santuc believes that this will elevate their business and allow them to compete on a global level.
