EO Charlotte Executive Board Member Supports Patriot Charities

Dana Bradley Illustrates Commitment to Charity through Event Honoring Those Who Serve in Armed Forces

CHARLOTTE, NC – October 27, 2011 – EO Charlotte Executive Board Member and Charlotte business owner, Dana Bradley realizes that freedom isn’t free and illustrates his passion for honoring our heroes in the Armed Forces through his work with The Patriot Charities. As a three-year member of The Patriot Charities Board and its newly elected President, Bradley works with other area volunteers to encourage support of our troops and to orchestrate events that raise funds to help support wounded soldiers. Bradley is also principal at Performance Holdings.
The Patriot Charities hosts an annual black tie event, The Patriot Gala, that provides a vehicle for honoring those serving in our military and raising money to benefit our wounded warriors and their families, many of whom have returned or are returning home with catastrophic injuries.
Fellow entrepreneurs and EO Charlotte members are stepping up to support Bradley and The Patriot Charities in assisting wounded warriors. Scott East of MSIGHTS, Inc. and Brett Portaro of The Portaro Group will put action behind their desire to support our heroes.
The 2011 Patriot Gala – now a sold out event - takes place November 5 at Quail Hollow Country Club. Attendees will enjoy an evening of elegant entertainment and participate in honoring our troops through a 21-gun salute and a special tribute to our fallen warriors from North and South Carolina. Donation opportunities and details about the 2012 event are provided at www.patriotcharities.org.
“Through The Patriot Charities, we can raise awareness of the needs that those who have made tremendous sacrifices for our freedom face. As a member of EO Charlotte, I’ve learned the power of bringing passionate people together for a unified goal and I can transfer that experience to The Patriot Charities,” said Bradley. “Our upcoming November Gala gives us the opportunity to illustrate our commitment to our patriots in a significant way.”
Patriot Charities is a local, grassroots, 501©3, and the money raised each year goes to support wounded warrior programs in the Carolinas by donating to charities such as the USO of North Carolina Charlotte Center and the North Carolina Heroes Fund. Additional past beneficiaries include American Legion Unit 270, Fisher House Foundation, Hope for the Warriors, Special Operations Warrior Foundation, and the Wounded Warrior Project. Our goal is to donate $100,000 from this year’s Gala to our beneficiaries in support of our mission – to raise funds to financially assist non-profit organizations and local programs within the Carolinas concerned with the immediate welfare, care and support for our military and their families wounded in ongoing military operations.
