Kal leads the development of new research and strategy for Automotive and other Industrial clients in IBM’s Institute for Business Value (IBV). The IBV provides research and analysis on emerging industry and cross-industry business issues. Kal has over 20 years of experience leading the implementation of business solutions and has held several leadership roles throughout IBM including focus on RFID technology, the commercialization of Intellectual Property assets and the development of Demand Management offerings. Kal has been on the core team of three new product introductions and several service offering releases. He has also led advanced planning implementations and has managed numerous process improvement, transformation and strategic initiatives through his career.

Tom Carter - Research Project Leader, Michelin Americas Research Company, Greenville, South Carolina, USA
Tom will discuss "Technical Opportunities for Tweel", a potentially disruptive technology with significant ramifications for the future for mobility. The Tweel promises performance levels beyond those possible with conventional pneumatic technology. For Michelin, Tweel is a long-term vision that represents the next step in a long path of industry-changing innovations.
