Delivering on the Promise: The $1 Billion Capital Campaign to Build a Stronger University of South Carolina
Investing in the promise of this great University and securing Carolina’s future success form the core goals of “Carolina’s Promise,” the University of South Carolina’s historic – and ambitious - Capital Campaign.
The public phase of the eight-year Carolina’s Promise campaign kicked off November 11, 2011 in Columbia, SC. The Campaign, which strives to raise an unprecedented $1 billion by 2015, will help:
- increase much-needed student scholarships, fellowships and financial aid,
- accelerate discoveries and technology transfer via faculty research,
- support an increase in the recruitment and retention of outstanding faculty,
- make Carolina more competitive with peer universities by improving academic facilities, technologies and living-learning environments for students,
- strengthen the health of individuals and communities in South Carolina and beyond, and
- secure Carolina’s future by building our endowment and making it competitive with other SEC schools
