South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics Foundation Welcomes New Staff Member

The Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM) Foundation is proud to introduce its newest employee, Lindsey Spires Griffin, Development Manager.

Graduating from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor’s degree in political science and from the University of Phoenix with an MBA, Griffin will combine her experience in fundraising, economic development and external relations to help GSSM reach its immediate and long-term goals.

Prior to joining GSSM, Griffin was the Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations for Presbyterian College. Her resume also includes working for New Carolina, South Carolina’s Council on Competitiveness, and interning for the South Carolina Department of Commerce.

Born and raised in Columbia, Griffin is a member of the Junior League of Columbia and serves as a board member for Columbia Opportunity Resource.

“I am excited to join the Foundation team and help GSSM increase awareness of and funding for programs centered on science, technology, engineering and mathematics,” says Griffin.

As Development Manager, Griffin is responsible for the efforts of GSSM and the Foundation through fundraising for the Business Leadership Council Network, annual funds and special events.
