Scholarships Available for Midlands Technical College’s QuickJobs Programs
The Midlands Technical College Foundation is offering $25,000 in new scholarships for Midlands Technical College’s QuickJobs programs. The scholarships will provide tuition assistance for unemployed or underemployed residents of Lexington, Richland and Fairfield counties.
QuickJobs is a Corporate and Continuing Education program at MTC that prepares participants for high-demand careers in as short a time possible, often in as few as four weeks. The program is designed to offer skills training that results in industry-recognized credentials, and provide the critical training needed to move into employment.
The scholarship funds will go to support individuals whose annual earnings are below 80% of the median family income for Lexington and Richland counties. To qualify, individuals’ total annual household incomes must not exceed the following: one person–$41,924, two person–$49,685, three person–$51,887, four person–$62,056, five person–$54,010, six person–$57,259, or seven person–$53,655.

The deadline to apply for the scholarships is January 27, 2012. Funding for the scholarships was generously provided to the Midlands Technical Foundation by Wells Fargo.
