Greenville Track Club 40th Anniversary Party makes television

GREENVILLE, SC – Fans of the Greenville Track Club need to watch “Your Carolina with Jack and Kimberly” this Thursday, June 28 for a history of the state’s oldest running club.

The popular morning show’s hosts will interview Michael Burchett, the GTC president, on some of the events being held to commemorate the anniversary. It can be seen between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on WSPA-TV in the Upstate or online at

The Greenville Track Club started with a small group of dedicated runners heading over the top of Paris Mountain. Now it is more than 1,000 runners, walkers, and athletes of all types that have created the backbone of the Upstate’s outdoor sporting community.

The club has grown because of its commitment to offering quality events. The Greenville Track Club currently sponsors 13 running events plus an additional six Corporate Shield races that focus on a business community competition. It also holds trail races, a summer track meet series, a highly successful children’s running program and a race challenge for seniors.
