An Employer's Guide to Avoiding Social Media Snafus: From a Legal Perspective

The Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina continues our new monthly business education breakfast series for the state’s business owners and managers.

This second session, titled “An Employer’s Guide to Avoiding Social Media Snafus: From a Legal Perspective,” will take place on July 31 from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. in the eighth floor faculty lounge of the Moore School. Columbia attorney Karen Luchka of Fisher & Phillips LLP will provide the top five practical tips to avoid social networking snafus in the workplace and give employers other essential guidance on social networking.

Luchka is a frequent lecturer at seminars on a variety of employment-related topics, as well as legal ethics. In 2012 Karen was honored as one of the "20 Under 40" honorees by The State newspaper. She was also selected for inclusion in the 2012 South Carolina Super Lawyers – Rising Stars.

Chick-fil-A Five Points is sponsoring this event.

The breakfast series is part of the Moore School’s commitment to help South Carolina businesses compete globally and create jobs locally. It will feature speakers from the Moore School’s faculty, as well as local and national experts on an array of business topics.

The cost is $15 per person, and seating is limited. To register, call 803.777.2231 or 1.800.393.2362.
