Venture Capital Investors Featured at the InnoMobility Conference

Greenville, S.C. – BMW iVentures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers will be looking for new mobility- related opportunities at the upcoming InnoMobility Conference in Greenville, S.C., November 7-8th, 2012. The conference agenda includes a panel discussion with Ryan Popple, Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), Ulrich Quay, Managing Director of BMW i Ventures, and other investors on new mobility opportunity investments.

BMW iVentures is BMW Group’s Venture Capital unit and is based in New York. “BMW iVentures invests in early and mid-stage high-potential companies in the area of Mobility Services,” said Ulrich Quay. “These are services that make mobility smarter, more efficient and more flexible. We are excited to see what connections we will make at InnoMobility."

The objective of the InnoMobility conference is to discover new business opportunities and help them develop by connecting them with the resources they need to be successful. InnoMobility will showcase about 40 business opportunities that are shaping the future of mobility over the course of two days. See the agenda and apply to present at www.innomobility.com.

KPCB is a well-known Silicon Valley Venture Capital firm, due in large part to their past success. They were early investors in many significant companies, including Amazon, AOL, Compaq, Electronic Arts, and Google, to name a few. Ryan Popple is a member of the KPCB greentech team and focuses on investments for the Green Growth Fund. "Kleiner Perkins sees enormous opportunities globally from sustainable mobility innovations. Our investment portfolio already supports great companies in this sector -- technology leaders like Proterra, Fisker Automotive, Coulomb, and INRIX. We’re excited about continuing the dialogue around ideas and innovation for the intersection of mobility and advanced technology.”

InnoMobility is actively seeking high-impact opportunity presenters from leaders in major corporations, middle market companies, entrepreneurial businesses, and academic centers on emerging technologies in these focus areas: Innovative design and manufacturing, connectivity and mobile services, sustainable systems and clean tech, and electric vehicles and infrastructure. Opportunity presenters at the InnoMobility Conference can attract the customers, capital, talent and technology they need to succeed. The initial selection for presentation applications is September 15th.
