Semper Fi! Semper FUN! Volunteer for the USMC Mud Run
Semper Fi! Semper Fun!
The USMC Mud Run is 10.13.2012!
Ready for some mud fun? Register today!
This is one of the largest volunteer efforts in the Midlands and we need you! It’s happening all day on October 13, 2012.
What do volunteers do?
We need motivated volunteers like you to help usher thousands of runners through the course. From registration, to handing out t-shirts and water, there’s plenty to choose from. The event is staffed almost entirely by volunteers.
When and where?
The Mud Run will be held Saturday, October 13, in Sandy Run, S.C., just south of Columbia. Choose from a morning, afternoon or all-day volunteer shift. If you’re running, we encourage you to volunteer for the shift opposite your run time. Directions will be sent to volunteers before the big day.
The Greater Columbia Marine Foundation sponsors the Mud Run twice a year. The money raised supports Marines and their families from the Columbia area who have been wounded or killed while serving on active duty. Profits from the race are also used to support local college scholarships named after Marines killed serving their country, and community events promoting the Marine Corps.
Who is eligible to volunteer?
Volunteers ages 18, and volunteers ages 13-17 who are accompanied by an adult with a signed youth consent form.
Spread the Semper Fun!
If you know anyone who would be interested in volunteering, let them know! Help us spread the word.
