Zoom Zone Showcase adds conferences to the event

Anderson, SC – Zoom Zone Showcase adds conferences to the event.

The 3rd annual Zoom Zone Showcase will add a new element to the event this year. Experts in the areas of Lean Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, Advanced Computing, and Defense Contracts will speak throughout the day on Wednesday, November 28th and Thursday, November 29th at the Civic Center of Anderson, SC. Additional conference sessions will also include “How to do business with leading companies”. Conference sessions will provide firsthand access to technological developments, growth opportunities in specific market segments and collaboration with other industry professionals.

Guest speakers include Dr. John Ballato, Ph.D., Director of the Center for Optical Materials Science and Engineering Technologies (COMSET) at Clemson University; Dr. Thomas Kurfess, Ph.D. Clemson University Professor, BMW Chair to CU-ICAR and Director of the Campbell Graduate Engineering Center; Dr. Steve Stevenson, Ph.D. Clemson University Professor and Director for the Institute for Modeling and Simulation Applications. Also, John Williams Small Business Director for the Office of Naval Research and Warren Weeks, Technology Director for the SCRA will present. Conference fees with a registration prior to September 1, 2007 are $69 per person per day or the complete 2-day package for $125. Conference fees include tickets to the Wednesday evening VIP reception and/or the Thursday Exhibitor luncheon.

Zoom Zone Showcase is an industrial and technology tradeshow that gives particular focus to Advanced Materials, Manufacturing, Automotive and Defense clusters along with businesses in their supply chains. Designed to showcase the latest industry advances and cutting edge research and development in the I-85 innovation corridor, the event promises to draw attendees from all over the Southeast. Attendees to the Showcase include researchers, manufacturers, purchasers, educators, investors and industry professionals.

Booth spaces are still available and start at $1,125. The exhibit hall is open to the general public.
