ACS technologies expands reach of leading software product to church members
Members Can Now Modify Personal Data via the Internet with Access ACS
FLORENCE, SC, March 17, 2004ACS Technologies' (http://www.acstechnologies.com)
recently released Web-based software program that allows church administrators
to view, edit and record information via the Internet is now expanding the
program to allow ACS for Windows clients to modify their own information
online. This connectivity enables churches to allow their members to update
their personal information, which will help the church update records faster
and easier, while maintaining control through a gatekeeper process.
Access ACS has experienced much success since its release in November of 2003.
The product is an extension of the popular People Suite software, which helps
churches manage their member database and much more. ''Clients have been really
excited about the convenience of this program. Pastors, administrators and lay
leaders have all benefited from the ability to access member data online. Now
Access ACS allows members to modify their own records securely via the internet
24 hours-a-day leaving church administrators time to focus on other tasks. ACS
Technologies is always looking for ways to save our clients time or to make
their organizational processes more efficient,'' says Cindy Streett, Product
Manager of Access ACS.
The new program enhancement allows members to log onto the church Web site to
update their own personal data, such as name, address, phone number and email
address. Not only does this eliminate data entry for administrators, but it
ensures that members receive the most up-to-date news and information from the
church or organization. The administrator must only review the changes and
accept them, so that the changes are integrated with the entire ACS database.
In addition, this new feature is a giant step towards an entirely Web based
information management system. Hal Campbell, President and CEO of ACS
Technologies, asserts that, ''ACS Technologies is proud to be the industry
leader moving our clients toward the most efficient way to manage information
via the Internet. We look forward to developing many more enhancements and new
products that provide clients with the most cutting-edge technology, which
promotes more efficient operations. It is important that as much of their time
as possible goes toward achieving their ministry goals.''
Of course, Access ACS is still the most flexible way for pastors,
administrators and lay leaders to access the contact information that keeps
them in touch with members 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Access ACS is a
particularly helpful resource in situations when a minister must call or visit
a member of the congregation unexpectedly or when members of a group
need to send mass emails to communicate important information.
