AVX Launches Quick Connect Program to Reduce Lead Times of Connector Samples
Program Speeds-up Design Process and Prototype Testing for Design Engineers
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AVX (NYSE: AVX), a leading manufacturer of advanced passive components and connectors, has launched its new Quick Connect program to aid design engineers by quickly supplying samples of more than 150 different FFC connectors and over 50 other connectors including battery, SIM and wire to board connectors within 48 hours of request. The off-the-shelf offering includes over 10 of the most popular AVX FFC connector series with typical options from 3 to 30 positions.
“In many cases, these fine pitch connectors are manufactured in Asia and have long lead times, lengthening the design process,” said Craig Hunter, AVX strategic marketing manager. “By creating a program that enables our customers to order sample connectors off-the-shelf, we have drastically decreased the lead time of sample deliveries, and thus the prototype and design process for the customer.”
The defined list of parts available includes 0.5mm and 1mm pitch FFC connectors in right angle and straight formats, battery, SIM, I/O and low pin count wire to board connectors. All items available through the Quick Connect program are RoHS compliant.
